I know the frustration of the roller coaster of weight loss and weight gain. I have felt the elation of losing a couple of pounds and the devastation of gaining 5, over and over again.
I know the feelings of self-hate for being overweight and constantly feeling unworthy. You're not alone, I have been there. I had weight issues from the time I was 7 years old for about the next 30 years. I felt worthless for so long, comparing myself to others and not valuing myself. My weight yo-yoed up and down countless times. I joined and rejoined a group program many times that helped me because of accountability, healthy recipes, the group dynamic and it gave me a core for my healthy eating system. I am still a lifetime member of this group. But, eventually I realized that I had evolved and designed my own guidelines and system that worked really well for me.
I don't track everything I eat and I wouldn't call it a diet. I have a healthy eating system that works for me and it actually works better for me not to track.
I created practices and tools that enabled me to stay in my healthy weight range. It is based in whole health, mind, body and soul and they let me be free.
Now I am 48 years old and I have kept off about 50 pounds for good now for over 10 years and am happier and more at peace with myself and my physical body than ever.
I am grateful that I found my missing "peace".
